1. Authlete | Japan (Startup Profile)

Online security company Authlete develops a security solution for application protocol interfaces (APIs). It’’s product is built on the OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect access delegation standards. These allow internet users to grant websites or applications access to their information without the need to reveal passwords.


2. Coins | Philippines (Startup Profile)

Blockchain-powered fintech startup Coins uses blockchain technology to enable financial services like money remittances, bill payments, and mobile credit top-up for its users, whether they have a bank account or not.


3. Ryde | Singapore (Startup Profile)

Singaporean carpooling startup Ryde was certified by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority as a third-party taxi booking provider. For taxi bookings, the app offers flat or metered rates. It currently has 100,000 registered users.


4. Soft Space | Malaysia (Startup Profile)

Malaysian payments startup Soft Space was one of the early players offering mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) solutions, helping more merchants accept card and digital payments through its card reader and mobile wallet. The startup works with banks who promote it to their merchant networks. It has shipped 180,000 card readers across Asia.


5. Camboticket | Cambodia (Startup Profile)

The ticket booking app Camboticket sells tickets for buses, private taxis, and ferries for inter-city travellers within Cambodia and cross-border trips to and from neighboring countries. It claims to sell an average of 6,000 seats a month.
