Leading cloud-based customer engagement software maker Freshdesk is constantly innovating to stay ahead of the curve in a highly competitive field.

The latest is a marketplace for customer support apps. Third party developers can post custom apps and earn money through integrations with Freshdesk software.

The Chennai SaaS company has over 80,000 customers globally. Many of them use a multitude of apps for billing, telephony, reporting, and so on.

These global customers will now find what they need easily. Systems integrators and independent service vendors can also come into the picture to help with customization and implementation for a fee.

“We want to enable any customization that our customers need, making it easy for them to find what they are looking for under one roof, while simultaneously incentivizing developers into building high-quality, useful integrations in customer engagement,” says Freshdesk founder and CEO Girish Mathrubootham.

The marketplace currently has a portfolio of around 100 apps including Teamviewer, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Skype, and G-Suite. Freshdesk is collaborating with partners and developers to find use cases. The apps listed are reviewed by Freshdesk against a set of standards before being listed.
