TIA Roundtables: Old fashioned face-to-face is never going away

old-fashioned-20

The turn of the 21st century has seen a surge in new forms of communication. Emails, Skype calls, social media, video conferences, webinars – businesses now have a plethora of options to engage with their stakeholders. While we’re living in a digital age when almost everything is being done virtually, traditional forms of communication remain as integral as ever.

Roundtables bring back the old fashioned way of communicating to this new digitally connected future. They help people connect with people. The benefits that come with it make it a “must-go” segment at any conference or event.

Tech in Asia’s Roundtables made its debut at our Bangalore conference earlier this year. We received great feedback from attendees so we’re bringing it back for the second time in Tech in Asia Jakarta 2016! Anticipate meaningful networking opportunities, untapped industry information and leave with expert insights. Seats are usually limited, so it’s best that you secure yours quickly.

Here’s why you should participate in roundtables:

Industry benchmark

The most successful roundtables are always those that are laser-focused on a single aspect or issue within an industry. It’s a great forum for people to trade ideas and mingle with other engaged individuals with similar interests and questions. You also get to meet and network with some of the top minds and experts in the industry!

Informal and open interactions

As the name itself suggests, a roundtable has no beginning, no end and nobody at the head of the table. Everyone here has an equal voice and can speak their mind freely. A facilitator is simply there to keep the discussion moving in a relaxed but purposeful way. Each session is also set small to give everyone at the table an equal chance to provide their inputs. As multiple minds share pertinent first-hand information and experience, you stand to gain the benefit of several perspectives!

Face to face value

A face-to-face conversation with your peers can sometimes offer far more value than any online forum or webinar can provide. It leads to engagement and ensures that people are “in the conversation.” Findings demonstrate that a platform that includes opportunities to see, experience, and discuss greatly enhances the learning process. Roundtables do just that – attendees can discuss amongst peers a variety of topics relevant to the industry and learn from each others’ experiences.

Roundtables are coming to Jakarta!

Roundtables are among the most flexible format offered at a conference. They are excellent avenues to present ideas, engage in in-depth discussions and meet peers with similar interests. Here’s an opportunity just round the corner for you to take advantage of all the benefits roundtables can offer!

Spanning across two days (November 16 – 17), the Roundtables segment at TIA Jakarta allows you to get up close with industry experts in a cosy setting (20 pax) and get your questions answered across various topics.

Fear of missing out? Roundtables signups have commenced and seats are getting snapped up real quick! But first, you’ll need your entry ticket to #tiajkt2016. Due to the overwhelming response, we’re extending our 10 percent promotion (code: roundisgold) till November 4, 2359.
